Q. My physics teacher has asked me to design a physical device within a week that will demonstrate to him my general understanding of the conservation of energy principle, the momentum principle, and the angular momentum principle. Any ideas on how to construct this device or a Goldberg device that will be easy to put together? Asked by Albert C - Thu Jul 2 00:46:58 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Flywheel driven electric car. (A model car using a flywheel + motor/generator instead of a battery) You "charge up" the car by using an external source of electricity to drive the motor to speed up the flywheel. Then when running, the flywheel turns the motor which generates electricity to drive the motors connected to the heels. Or, simpler, but messier, a boat driven by a propellor. The movement of the water backward drives the boat forward - linear momentum; the turning of the propellor also causes tilt of the boat (which is why many ships have two counter-rotating propellors); and there is the efficiency of different sizes of propellors - energy vs. momentum. (You can do the same with a helicopter, but helicopters are much harder to… [cont.] Answered by simplicitus - Sat Jul 4 16:46:12 2009 What is the most durable blackberry like device? Q. I am looking for a new SprintPCS or T-Mobile cell/data plan and I am buying a Blackberry like device, aka. I want to make phone calls, have some internet access and email syncing and sending ability. What devices would you recommend with durability being the highest priority. Bells and whistles type frilly features optional. Thanks! Asked by tisaroo - Sat Mar 7 11:57:17 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. The Curve would be your option. If you go with T-Mobile I'd recommend the 8900. Durability unfortunately doesn't really go along with Blackberry. I can only suggest you to get a good case for your Blackberry to make it tougher for your daily needs. Q. What is the most gigabytes available for a Rhapsody compatible device? And where could i find it? Asked by Megan - Mon Aug 31 22:44:59 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. I was in the same situation about 4-5 months ago. I looked at the price's of the rhapsody to go compatible products and they are way over priced! I left them and went to the Microsoft Zune. Microsoft offers the same plan but instead of a cheap 3rd party player you get a premium device. The Zune 120GB costs $220, and a 30GB Rhapsody ibiza cost $200. Microsofts unlimited music service is the same price as Rhapsody to go, $15/month. Its the same deal, but the mp3 player is WAY better.
