A. "bus" could refer to alot of things... but if its something you really need to know, call your computer manufacturer and perhaps they can get the details out of you that they need... and they can answer your question... they know your computer better than any of us (becuase we don't know what kind you have, and what you're actually asking)

A. it is a universal serial bus cable USB for short. all external devices use a USB cable to connect to computers now-a-days. just plug it in. it will install itself and it should open up the folder of the camera. just make a folder and highlight all pics, then click and drag them to the new folder onto the pc.

My computer bus speed is higher than RAM speed. How do I correct this imbalance ?
Q. The bus speed is 800 Mhrtz while the RAM is 533 Mhrtz. How do I correct this imbalance ?
Asked by Silly Shelu - Fri Apr 6 11:37:51 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I wouldn't worry too much about the imbalance. First off, upgrading to RAM running at 800Mhz is going to be expensive, very expensive. Another thing is that the motherboard may not be able to support RAM with a speed higher than 533Mhz. Thus, it would be a waste of time, money, and effort to put in faster RAM if the computer cannot use it...

What is the recommended system bus for a laptop computer?
Q. I'm looking at a Toshiba laptop and the system bus is 533 MHz. Is that good? What i want to do is internet, a few games and maybe some school work.
Asked by Goggle Bear - Thu Jul 3 19:52:16 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You should be more concerned about the type and speed of the processor, not the Front Side Buss speed. (FSB is the speed at which the processor communicates with RAM and North bridge chip, not the actual operating speed of the processor.) Having said that, only Celerons and Low voltage single core processors have a 533MHz Front Side Buss speed, both are low-end processors. Either of them will be ok for basic computing tasks (i.e. internet, music etc..) but I strongly suggest an Intel Core 2 Duo series CPU and a dedicated graphics card if you want to play some new good 3D games. Core 2 Duo will also be more quicker when dealing with lot of concurrent applications.

Q. What is a bus? Why do we need the bus in computer systems? what is the Centralized or Distributed Arbitration in bus. How do bus schedule different events?
Asked by m smartie - Thu Mar 12 23:07:17 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It is the communications line between multiple components. Arbitration usually involves priorities. Centralized would be a main arbitrator, distributed would be the components determining the priorities amongst themselves. Scheduling would be based on either priorities or first come, first served.

Can a SATA host bus adapter speed up a old computer ?

How can you visually tell the difference between different computer buses?
Q. How can I tell the difference between several buses (ISA, EISA, MCA, PCI, VESA)? Each bus comes in different widths (16, 32 and 64 bits). How can I look at a bus on a mother board and know what kind it is?
Asked by red headed step child - Thu Oct 12 00:44:38 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Usually the ISA is brown where as the PCI is white and AGP is purple. You can visually tell by the number of slots as well. The older ISA was always in great supply, but now it is outnumbered by the PCI. The ISA is most commonly found on the motherboards by a brown slot on the bottom of the board if you were to hold with the slots facing the back of the case. The PCI is usually shorter and in numerous quantities. The AGP will look sort of like a hybrid of the ISA and PCI, but it will have two slots. One in front, then a split and then a small one on the other side of it. The below web page has a good description and pics as well.
